So how much does ORC cost?
We charge $0.024 for 1 minute of rendering with a 100 OctaneBench (OB) score (equivalent to 1 GTX 980).
ORC's linear scaling keeps costs at a constant rate whether it is 100 OB or 48,000 OB. Meaning a job that would normally take hours to finish can be done in a fraction of the time for the same price.
- 100 OB - $0.024 per minute
- 1,200 OB - $0.288 per minute
- 12,000 OB - $2.88 per minute
- 48,000 OB - $11.52 per minute
How much performance do I get per frame?
ORC scales up to 1,200 OB (equivalent to 12 GTX 980's) per frame running at $0.288 per minute.
How soon will I get my job?
While configuring your job, ORC generates a projected completion date that it will use to determine how and when to allocate resources to deliver your job as soon as possible.
If you need your job sooner, please reach out to us by emailing orc@otoy.com.
How can I get an estimate for a job?
Thanks to ORC's linear scaling, estimates are easy to figure out. All that is needed is to find out your OctaneBench score and render a scene on your local machine. Once you have done that you can get a pretty accurate sense of the time and cost of your job with some simple multiplication. Please keep in mind that estimates only reflect the rendering costs and do not include processing times.
